Who We Are

Oniseese Youth is a global community united by the rich and ancient Yoruba traditional belief system known as Ifa. We are a diverse group of people from various parts of the world, bound by a shared commitment to evangelize the Ifa tradition, educate the public, and dispel the many misconceptions surrounding this profound spiritual practice.

One of our core missions is to challenge and correct the false notion that Esu, an important deity in the Yoruba cosmology, is synonymous with Satan. This widespread misunderstanding has tainted perceptions of Ifa for far too long, and through our platform, we aim to set the record straight. Our movement, encapsulated by the creation of the Esukiisesatani (Esu is Not Satan) website, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the true essence of Esu as a revered orisha who plays a crucial role as a mediator, messenger, and protector of balance in the universe.

On the Esukiisesatani platform, visitors will have access to resources designed to deepen their understanding of Ifa and Yoruba spirituality. Here, you can:
– Learn more about the Ifa belief system: Discover the ancient wisdom and teachings of Ifa, including its relevance in modern-day life and how it can guide individuals on their spiritual journeys.
– Connect with a Babalawo: If you seek spiritual guidance or divination, our platform provides a way to contact a Babalawo—a priest of Ifa who serves as a spiritual advisor and custodian of traditional wisdom.
– Stay informed: Stay up to date with current events, festivals, and happenings in the Ifa community. Our platform will keep you informed about significant global and local events in the Ifa tradition.

At Oniseese Youth, we are passionate about creating an open and inclusive space where people from all walks of life can explore the rich traditions of Ifa without judgment or misconception. Whether you are new to Ifa or seeking to deepen your knowledge, we welcome you to join us on this journey of enlightenment, cultural appreciation, and spiritual growth.

Together, we are working to restore the honor and integrity of Ifa and ensure that the truth about Esu and other orishas is recognized and celebrated across the world.
